About WholeRen

Based in Pittsburgh, WholeRen Education works to promote multicultural awareness and has fostered an array of educational programs since its inception in 2010. WholeRen Education provides educational services for Chinese students enrolled in US colleges, high schools and middle schools as well as students entering the US. WholeRen also sponsors study tours of the US for Chinese school children and training in the US for Chinese managers.

About the Award

In keeping with its goal to further international understanding and education, WholeRen Education seeks one outstanding student who has made a significant contribution to multiculturalism through his or her actions. Please see the first video on the right for more information.

Amount: $1,000 to be used for college expenses once enrolled in an American college.

Eligibility

  • U.S. high school senior accepted into a four-year accredited college.
  • Achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher during high school.

Thank you for the many excellent submissions we received in 2019! Information for the 2020 scholarship will become available early next year.

Application Information

Please submit your online application materials by March 31st, 2019 including:

  • A high school transcript – Include the first three years on the transcript.
  • One letter of recommendation – It can be from a high school staff member, community leader, or volunteer/youth organization.
  • An individual essay on what you have done to promote multiculturalism during your high school years. (300 words – 500 words)

The recipient will be announced on May 4th, 2019
