这些学生一般都是选择美国前100名大学。中国的家长很爱面子，既然远渡重洋，负笈留学，就要去一个名校。何谓名校？排名前100的美国大学是也。

他们选择这个途径的主要原因是因为这个和中国教育途径最接近。都是通过考试，申请，独木桥，录取。

选择这样留学途径的学生，目标是申请美国前100名大学的本科一年级。　他们一般都是从1到2年前，就有充分准备。他们在高二的时候开始准备托福，美国高考SAT。高三上学期开始通过中介机构开始美国大学的申请。

要知道其中的SAT考试，俗称美国高考，是美国大学录取学生的一个依据。大概需要准备120个小时。而且中国内地没有SAT考点，学生还要去香港考试。

如果需要托福和SAT，又要参加很多义工，领导力的活动，才能得到美国前100名大学的垂青，这是要投入很多精力的。这些学生一般都放弃高考。

这个途径有两个好处，一是可以专心高考。据说高考是一个需要投入人生最好的一年时间，120％努力的全国性公平的考试。不高考，不能上多数的中国大学。而且近来，高考成败，又和同富二代，官二代竞争相连，颇为悲壮。

让一般的学生和家长放弃高考，是不容易的。所以，万事都到高考以后再说。

这样的学生和家庭，比较踏实，在金钱和其他社会资源上不是顶尖，信息也不是很通畅。

他们可以有这种选择。

• 一是高考分数下来马上开始申请美国大学，可以秋季学期入学。这是来得及的。关键要有通畅的信息，和靠谱的专业机构。比如美国厚仁教育合作的多所大学，都有桥梁课程，不需要SAT考试成绩，入学也不要求托福考试。学生开始申请，提交所有材料，厚仁教育可以保证学校5天内给最后的答复。既然是留学，先到美国是最重要的，而不是先去新东方。
• 二是上中国大学，读完大一，转学到美国读大二。美国的学校，一般对转学生不要SAT。这个途径，门槛也比较低，美国专业的教育机构一般都可以办理，我当然还是推荐美国厚仁教育。
• 三是读完大学，去美国读研究生。
• 四是复读一年，同时参加托福和SAT的考试。申请美国大学。

这个路子是非常难的。

中国有很多学生实在是优秀，智商很高，心理承受压力能力强。这样的学生，我在这两届清华附中毕业生中就看到了几个，可谓双丰收。大家也知道，这非常人所及。而且我觉得可惜的是，他们把大好青春花在考试的机械准备上，如果他们已经在美国，本可以做很多更加有益于个人发展和社会的事情。
